If you are looking for a venue for your wedding ceremony or a colourful background for your photographs, the Old Teachers’ College is a perfect choice. The College offers heritage-listed gardens that produce an array of beautiful trees, annuals, roses and shrubbery. Passionate and qualified gardening staff manicure the sweeping lawns and gardens to ensure the ideal backdrop. If we have inclement weather on the day, you may adjourn indoors to the College foyer, with its beautiful staircase.

Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing the Armidale Teachers’ College as your wedding venue. To ensure the success of the occasion please read the following terms and conditions. Once you are aware of the terms and conditions, please sign and return to the Friends Coordinator, Graham Wilson, 14 Todd Close, Armidale NSW 2350 with payment.

Tentative BookingsFriends of the Old Teachers’ College will tentatively hold any date for fourteen days, providing that date is available. After fourteen days the Friends will automatically release the date unless the booking has been confirmed.

Payment: A booking will be confirmed when the Friends of the Old Teachers’ College has received payment. The cost for a wedding ceremony is $200.00 (maximum of two hours) and for photographs only, $50.00 per hour. Preferred payment is to our FOTC Bank Account, BSB: 932 – 000  Account No: 632531  Account Name: Old Teachers College Armidale Incorporated. Please include your name and wedding date when making payment. If paying by cheque make it payable to Friends of the Old Teachers’ College Inc.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be received in writing. A $50.00 cancellation fee will be deducted and the balance refunded.

Access: The grounds will be available half an hour before the scheduled booking time to allow for set-up.  We are able to provide twenty-five chairs, a table (74cm x 60cm and 70cm high) and a tablecloth. After the ceremony, it is requested that chairs be returned to the front verandah. Please indicate when making your booking if equipment is required – there is no additional cost.

No confetti is allowed but rose petals are permitted. Please leave the grounds in a tidy state and be aware you are responsible for your guests and their actions.
